ICY Arts provides free or reduced cost option for educational after school/ summer programming that combines literacy with both the performing and technological arts: film training and music production for students, K-12 through College (in 2028)

Vision Statement: ICY Arts will serve as a supportive companion to schools by forming chapters in local schools that use academics and the arts to train and develop youth for performance excellence no matter their stage in life. Each ICY Arts chapter/school will create a film that culminate in a youth film festival.
Mission Statement: ICY Arts seeks to empower students, schools, and communities by providing a safe and nurturing learning environment that combines literacy with both performing and technological arts. Whether young at heart or in age, we help others find their light because every student in life is a STAR!

10/5/23 Ms. Cheryl Edwards-Gray, TRUIST Foundation announces partnership and a generous $25,000.00 financial contribution for ICY Arts to build a literacy and technology lab for students at Georgian Hills Elementary School.

By May/2024, 80% or more of students in the ICY Arts program will spend a minimum of 15 minutes each day reading books. Students will track their time on a reading log and complete film activities to summarize, re-enact literature--to total over 1,000 hours of reading additional reading time outside of the traditional school d
ICY Arts Literacy and Technology Lab comes fully loaded with 2023 Apple Technology to include, 10 IMAC '24 inc computers and 10 IPADs (IPADs were purchased using 21st CCLC funds though the Tennessee Department of Education.)
ICY Arts Literacy and Technology Lab is home to classes in film creation for students across different topics to include informational literature: financial literacy and non-informational texts such as "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Leading up to support from the Truist Foundation, ICY Arts in partnership with Junior Achievement of the MidSouth created "Scripts for Skits" an interactive learning experience through which students cite evidence from the text to create a conversation: scripts to create a skit.

The International Consortium of Young Artists 501 (c) (3), is a tax exempt community organization founded by Alexander Richardson in 2019/ Memphis, TN; however, was granted federal non profit status Spring, 2021.
ICY ARTS exists to elevate students by advocating for an increase of quality after school programming that combines literacy with technology such as film, music production, and digital-visual art mediums for all children.
Through the support and collaboration of both licensed educators and media professionals, we coach and support students to become active advocates for healthy social-emotional development, job-skill(s) training through teamwork and leadership opportunities/activities.
Each semester ends with an audio-visual production created by students.
