At The International Consortium of Young Artists, we are dedicated to our mission to inspire and enpower students from low-income families through the arts and music. The following programs are how we have currently achieved steps toward our goal.
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of our local community. From providing food and shelter to those in need to offering educational programs and support services, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. By supporting The International Consortium of Young Artists, you are supporting your community and helping to build a brighter future for all.
Leading up to support from the Truist Foundation, ICY Arts in partnership with Junior Achievement of the MidSouth created "Scripts for Skits" an interactive learning experience through which students cite evidence from the text to create a conversation: scripts to create a skit.

Thanks to the dedication of LOCAL ABC 24 family in Memphis, TN, Reporter and Anchor, Brittany Moncrease provided leadership training to our youth who spent time exploring journalism.
Moncrease led a segment of students' virtual class with activities to empower student confidence and techniques to improve public speaking skills. Moncrease also served as the keynote speaker for both our students and community members during the official launch of ICY Arts-December 14, 2021.

10/5/23 Ms. Cheryl Edwards-Gray, TRUIST Foundation announces partnership and a generous $25,000.00 financial contribution for ICY Arts to build a literacy and technology lab for students at Georgian Hills Elementary School.

By May/2024, 80% or more of students in the ICY Arts program will spend a minimum of 15 minutes each day reading books. Students will track their time on a reading log and complete film activities to summarize, re-enact literature--to total over 1,000 hours of reading additional reading time outside of the traditional school d
ICY Arts Literacy and Technology Lab comes fully loaded with 2023 Apple Technology to include, 10 IMAC '24 inc computers and 10 IPADs (IPADs were purchased using 21st CCLC funds though the Tennessee Department of Education.)
ICY Arts Literacy and Technology Lab is home to classes in film creation for students across different topics to include informational literature: financial literacy and non-informational texts such as "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
